The Greek Awareness Centre Saferinternet.gr and the homomymous Internet safety campaign are running in Greece since 2004. The main goals of Saferinternet.gr are:

• The protection of minors from illegal and harmful content, contact and conduct in respect to the Internet and other online technologies, and the promotion of a responsible and safe use of the Internet.
• The empowerment of parents and teachers in Internet safety issues through the implementation of information evenings, educational seminars, as well as appropriate online and printed material.

Saferinternet.gr has been the national representative for Greece of the Insafe Network of Safer Internet Awareness Centres, with 30 members across Europe and Russia.
